He was predeceased by: his parents, John Byrne and Rita Byrne (Pitts); and his brother William Byrne. He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his children, Jeannie Caughey (Sean), Joe Byrne (Rebecca) and Jeff Byrne (Jo Ann); his grandchildren, Meghan, Maggie Caughey, Makenna, Gabriel Bryne, Lydia, Carson Byrne, Chaline and Natalia Willis; his brother Daniel Byrne (Lorraine); and his sister-in-law Lee Byrne. He is also survived by his family and numerous friends.
In Lieu of Flowers, the family suggests memorials by be given to St. Jude's Hospital in John's name.
