He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Lyon and Mary Margaret Lyon; his son Joseph III; his siblings, Frederick Lyon (Adrienne), Jeanne Lyon and Barbara Ballantine; and his granddaughters, Mary and Justina.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Matthew Lyon, Ralph Lyon, Suzanne Morabito (Scott), Jennifer Lyon (Brian Wagner) and Michelle Harrison (Brad); his grandchildren, Bryan, Mikey, Skye, Joey, Cassie, Shaina, Wynter, Ever, Hailey, Libby, Kisten, Carmen, Dakota, Max and Sammy; and his brother Douglas Lyon (Gretchen). He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
