He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Arthur and Edna Viola Sooy (Lottman); and his siblings, Ken Sooy and Phyllis Sooy. He is survived by: his wife Patricia A. Sooy (Thum); his son Ryan Sooy (Bridget); his grandchildren, Laken Sooy, Mya Gargano, Landon Sooy, Max Gargano and Madden Gargano; and his brother Tom Sooy (Trish).
