He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Abercrombie and Betty Sue Abercrombie (Murphy); his daughters, Amy Jo Abercrombie and Michelle Marie Roush; his sister Nancy Abercrombie; and his former wife Susan Pierce Boozer.
He is survived by: his wife Mary "Trudy" Abercrombie; his children, Betty Lynn Abercrombie, Nara Leigh Abercrombie, Richard Rohrer Roush (Sheryl), Theresa L. Krichbaum (David) and Mary Catherine Thompson (Fredd); and his brother Mac Anthony Abercrombie. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Waite Funeral Homes - Medina Chapel (765 N Court St, Medina, OH 44256). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Luke's Episcopal Church (381 Ridgewood Rd, Wadsworth, OH 44281). The military honors will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 12:45 PM at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery (10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, OH 44273).
