He is survived by: his wife Sue Kyer (Smedick); his sons, Joshua, Jacob Kyer and Alec Wood; his sisters, Linda Jack (Chuck), Gail Brinkley (Michael), Joyce Rosario (Tony) and Carol Diekman (Eric); his siblings-in-law, Jim Vickers and Ruthann Faircloth; and his grandchildren, Cassie Quillin (Andrew), Jacob and Kooper Kyer. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Rick's memory.
