He was predeceased by: his wife Connie; his parents, Rose Velotta, and Michael F. Velotta, Sr.; and his brother Michael F. Velotta, Jr. (Buz). He is survived by: his daughters, Carolann Stanek (Len) and Christiane "Chris" Rader (Jamie); his grandchildren, Diana Dewan (Chris), Tony Stercula (Megan), Jacob Rader and Jordan Rader; his great grandchildren, Vinny, Victoria Stercula, Cecelia and Elaina Dewan; and his stepgrandsons, Greg Stanek (Andi) and Matt Stanek.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Waite Funeral Homes - Medina Chapel (765 N Court St, Medina, OH 44256). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Blessed Trinity Catholic Church (300 E Tallmadge Ave, Akron, OH 44310).
