William Fienga Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Fienga of Medina, Ohio, who passed away on June 9, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Fienga and Helen Fienga (Fazekas); his parents-in-law, David and Irene Stankiewicz; and his daughter Lisa Jirousek.

He is survived by: his wife Christine (Stankiewicz); his son Ben Fienga (Evelyn); his sister Debra Carr (Donald); his grandchildren, Chad Hoover, Hunter Jirousek and Benjamin Fienga; and his siblings-in-law, Teri Silko (Gary), David Stankiewicz (Mary) and Steve Stankiewicz (Meg). He is also survived by six nieces, five nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Waite Funeral Home (765 N Court St, Medina, OH 44256). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Waite Funeral Home- Medina (765 N Court St, Medina, OH 44256). A burial will be held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 10:45 AM at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery (10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, OH 44273).

Stephen Mazak wrote a sympathy message

“Bill was a good friend. He was instrumental in helping me collect vintage US Army WWII clothing and equipment. He was my personal “Picker” and looked for items I needed to complete the collection honoring my Uncle Ben, who was KIA in WWII. Bill insisted on paying for half of each item he found, wanting to help me honor my Uncle’s sacrifice. I can’t thank Bill enough for what he did for me and to honor veterans. Rest in Peace, Bill.”
