He was predeceased by: his parents, Clark H. Godwin and Gertrude I. Godwin (Huffman); his former wife Betty Godwin (Clay); his son Mike Godwin; and his siblings, Violet Godwin, Joe, Bob, Clarence, Harry, Ralph and Jim Godwin.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane Godwin (Kinzer); his stepdaughters, Donna J. Martello (Walt Kahle) of Wapakoneta and Judy L. Stevens of Westminster, Colorado; and his grandchildren, Tony Godwin (Laura) of Monroe, Mandy Hart (Cary) of Celina, Justin Godwin (Brandi Younker) of Coldwater, Corey Godwin (Michelle Barhorst) of Fort Loramie, Heather Wellbaum of Cridersville, Leyton Wellbaum (Michelle Brackett) of Indianapolis and Nicole Duster (Matthew) of Lafayette, Colorado. He is also survived by 25 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
