He is survived by: his girlfriend Christine Trusty; his children, James Schlageter, Amy Floyd (Byron) and Shannon Starkey (Eric); his grandchildren, Brennen "Tim" Mansell, Byron Floyd (Carmen), Shealyn Herda and McKayla Herda; and his siblings, Russ Knotts, Becky Caswell (Jay), Kathy Kocevar, Patrick Schlageter and Melanie Fultz (Jeff). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
