With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Alvin J. Cole of Mentor, Ohio, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his daughter Veronica Rowan; his close friend Diane Scofield; his parents, Martha Cole and Melford Cole; his stepdaughter Kayla Scofield; his siblings, Angel Baker (Bruce) and Kimberly Shaffer (Chris); his grandchildren, Airiana "Anna Banana", Bella, Christopher Rowan, Alisha, Michael and Kenzie Scofield; and his brother Joel.
The military honors was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mausoleum Chapel of Greenlawn Memory Gardens (3140 E Center St, Conneaut, OH 44030).
In lieu of flowers Alvin's family requests contributions be made to Sub Zero Mission, a non-profit organization that provides warming items to the homeless focusing on veterans http://www.subzeromission.org.
