David J. Gaffny Obituary
We bid farewell to David J. Gaffny of Mentor, Ohio, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 27, 2025 at the age of 94. David touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gaffny and Mary Gaffny; his wife Leonor Gaffny; his daughter Maria Benton; his brother Gregory Gaffny; and his brother-in-law Clyde McDonald.
He is survived by: his children, Mike Macaya (Nancy) and Pam DiFranco (Bruno); his grandchildren, Priscilla Grimmett, Chris Michael Martin, Angel Concannon (David), Lindsay Tróchez (Daniel), Miguel Macaya, Antonio DiFranco and Angelina DiFranco; his great grandchildren, Leeya Grimmett and Mika Martin (Nicol); his great great grandchild Bentlee Bridges; his sister Joan McDonald; his son-in-law Ricky Benton; and his sister-in-law Maxine Gaffny.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (1225 Gallatin Pike N, Madison, TN 37115).
