With sadness, we share the passing of Edward Kubu (Mentor, Ohio). Edward, born on September 12, 1943, passed away on September 6, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward J. Kubu and Dorothy Kubu; his in-laws, Tony and Louise Zabjek; and his brother-in-law David Zabjek.
He is survived by: his friend Sam LaSpisa; his aunt Lucille; his uncle Steve (Dale Spisak); his daughter Lisa M. Alemagno (Edmund); his grandchildren, Alyssa and Brandon; his sister Karen Kaminski (late Klaus); his nieces and nephews, Kelley West (Mike), Stephen Zabjek and Donald Zabjek; Karen (Klaus).
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home (6330 Center St, Mentor, OH 44060). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary of the Assumption Church (8560 Mentor Ave, Mentor, OH 44060). A burial was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at the All Souls Cemetery (10366 Chardon Rd, Chardon, OH 44024). A Mass was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 at 4:30 PM at the St. Mary of the Assumption Church (8560 Mentor Ave, Mentor, OH 44060).
