She was predeceased by: her grandchildren, Christine and Adam Thompson; her parents, John Kovacik and Stella Kovacik; and her brother Phillip Kovacik.

She is survived by: her children, Richard W. Thompson, Michaeleen S. Zalom (Chris) and John A. Thompson; her grandchildren, Joshua Thompson, Brandon Thompson, Kara Mann, Elizabeth Bacnik (Steve), Kyle Zalom, Megan Bechstein (Alex), Jimmy Thompson (Courtney Pilarski) and Amanda Thompson; her great grandchildren, Sam, Ben and Mila; and her friend Charlene Dornback.
