She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Brian Cook and Theresa Gersin; her siblings, James, Jonathan, Julia, Jackson and June; her grandparents, Gary and Michelle Gersin; her aunts and uncles, Jeffrey, Derek Gersin, Brian Elig (Amanda), Keith, Ty Cook (Lauren), Jessica Lesak, Andrea Zerinsky and Michelle Petrie; her grandparents, Rebecca Fitch and Tyrone Cook; her aunts, Ann and Samantha Cook; her uncle Alan Cook; and her great-grandparent June Pattison.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations of books and toys be made to Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital to honor Josie's memory.
