He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Lynch and Lucille Lynch; and his brother Tom Lynch (late Terry). He is survived by: his wife Patricia M. Lynch; his child Erin M. Wefing (Kyle); his grandchildren, Danica and Chase; and his brother Dan Lynch (Judy). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in his name to University Hospitals Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital or the Seidman Cancer Center.
