With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rita Kaprosy of Mentor, Ohio, born in Cleveland, Ohio, who passed away on October 22, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Tekalec and Blanche Tekalec; and her siblings, Joe, Tony and Barb.
She is survived by: her husband Michael J. Kaprosy; her children, John M. Kaprosy (Kim), Dale A. Kaprosy (Christy) and Douglas J. Kaprosy (Anina Chandler); her grandchildren, Melyssa, Erin, Jennifer, John, Kate, Luke and Mason; and her great grandchildren, Olivia and Cole.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home (6330 Center St, Mentor, OH 44060). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John Vianney Church (7575 Bellflower Rd, Mentor, OH 44060).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Rita's name may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave.., Cleveland, OH 44110.
