She was predeceased by: her parents, Y. J. Sykes and Sallie Sykes; her husband William A. Applegate; her son Chris A. Applegate; and her siblings, R. J. Sykes, Sam Sykes and Kathleen Phillips.
She is survived by: her son William G. Applegate of Miamisburg, OH; her sisters, Lucy McCullough of Duck Hill, MS and Sarah Douglas of Grenada, MS; and her grandchildren, Jessica, Aaron and Chris. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Highland Memorial Cemetery (723 Upper Miamisburg Rd, Miamisburg, OH 45342).
