He is survived by: his wife Josefa (Garcia); his children, Sylvia Zatari (Jassim), Javier Hernandez (Ann Marie), Cristina Thompson (Mike), Clarita Hernandez, Faustina Layne, Rogelio Hernandez, Connie Skaggs (John) and Gerardo Hernandez (Susan); his grandchildren, Cristina Gibson, Colin Layne, Clara Carter, Alex Layne, Simon Hernandez, Allissa Hernandez, Benjamin Hernandez and Elisa Skaggs; his stepgranddaughters, Shelbe Lane and Brandy Skaggs; his great grandchildren, Isabella Gibson, Sean Gibson and Mariah Carter; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Lucy, Pearl and Marigold Lane; and his nieces, Mary Galindo, Esmeralda Bocanegra and Vicky Ricardez.
