He is survived by: his mother Donna May Underwood (Waldron) of Indiana; his stepmother Louverne Higinbotham of Virginia; his children, Megan Porter (Ryan) of Virginia, Drew Higinbotham of Indiana and Lauren Carlisle (Brent) of Indiana; his siblings, Mark Higinbotham (Jen) of California and Marcia Huffman (Adam) of Portugal; his stepsiblings, John Underwood, Jr. (Angie) of Georgia, Bruce Maxey of Virginia and Angela Ramsay (Tim) of Virginia; his grandchildren, Vaughn, Otto, Vivian Porter of Virginia, Eleanor and Killian Carlisle of Indiana; his nephews, Aric Forbing of Indiana and Alex Higinbotham (Megan) of California; his close friends, Tim Franklin (Sharon), Jon Neer (Joy) of Ohio and Susan Friedman of Florida; and his girlfriend Susan Friedrich (Kast).
A burial will be held on Wednesday, July 1st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Walnut Grove Cemetery (9772 Ridge Rd, Delphos, OH 45833). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, July 1st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the The (11756 Bockey Rd, Delphos, OH 45833).
