He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Ralston and Ethel Ralston (Pugh); his aunt Lois Hevener; his brother-in-law Pete Barnhart; and his mother-in-law Nettie Barnhart.

He is survived by : his wife Elaine Ralston; his daughter Erin Sorrell (Adam); his grandchildren, Toby Sorrell and Megan Sorrell; his siblings, Ronnie Ralston (Tammy) and Sherri Lowry; and his siblings-in-law, Wayne Barnhart (Marsha) and Brenda Barnhart McClanahan. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
