He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse James and Bessie Adkins Lovejoy; his wife Drema Faith Steele Lovejoy; and his son Joseph Lovejoy. He is survived by: his sons, Randal Burns (Barbara) of Dayton, OH, Gregory Burns (Virginia) of Orient, OH, Christopher Burns (Jody) of Middleport, OH and Williams Burns of Middleport, OH; his sister Violet Lovejoy Larkin of Troy, OH; and his daughters, Carla Mumaw of Blue Rock, OH and Tonda Nichols of Columbus, OH. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
