She was predeceased by: her father Walter Howard Hatcher Sr.; her husband Donnie G. Short; her daughter Sonja Lee; and her sister Annel Hall. She is survived by: her children, Barbara J. Howard (John) and Brian Short (Melynda); her grandchildren, Jason Derrough (Erica), Nikki Dasenbrock (Alexander), Faith Werner (Hunter), Tyler Short and Lanie Short; and her brother Howard Hatcher Jr.. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, a great-great granddaughter.
