He was predeceased by: his parents, George Cope and Ida Mae Cope (Frisch); his wife Peggy Cope; his son-in-law Jerry Jeffries; and his siblings, Dick, James, Jerry, John, Bing, Tad, Wilma Gibson and Marilee O'Connor.
He is survived by: his children, Chuck Cope (Amy), Mark Cope (Karen), Mike Cope and Kristi Henry (Richard); his grandchildren, Jessica, Joey, Jeremy, Karla, Lacy, Myriah, Michael, Adam, Emily and Sam; and his sister-in-law Nancy Caudill. He is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren.
