He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred L Rau and Carrie Newlin Rau; and his brother Fred N. Rau. He is survived by: his friends, Chuck, Charlie and Chester; his wife Dolores "Deedee" Rau; his children, Linda Marshall (David), Lisa Morgan (Brett), Laurie Reiter (Steve) and John; and his sister Barbara Reinartz of Huntsville, AL. He is also survived by six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
