He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Carpenter and Mabel Carpenter (Strouse); and his siblings, Robert, Ken and Mary.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Annette Carpenter (Rutenschroer); his children, Christopher Carpenter (Stephanie), Jill Rodman (Joshua) and Anne Watts (David); his grandchildren, Kylie, Kara, Ian, Alyssa, Ava, Dawson, Carly and Jasper; and his brother Don.
