She was predeceased by: her parents, John Short and Eulalia McNabb Short; her husband Arley Gibbs; her son Vince Gibbs; her granddaughter Melissa Grizzle Stout; and her great grandchild Roman Cade Shepard.

She is survived by: her children, Judy Grizzle (Johnny), Mike Gibbs (Stacy) and Debra Gibbs; and her daughter-in-law Pam Gibbs. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, extended family and friends.
