He was predeceased by: his parents, Opal Walters and Tracy Walters; his grandson Trevor Byrd; his siblings, Lois Walters, Reverend WIlliam Thomas, Herschel and Arthur Walters; and his son Daniel Walters (Rachel).
He is survived by: his wife Laura Michelle; his children, Douglas Walters (Jen), Michelle Byrd (Jamie), David Walters and Dylan Cummings (Micki); his grandchildren, Brittney Byrd, Hayden Byrd, Gavin Byrd, Connor Hardin, Landen Byrd and Kiana Walters; his great grandchild Louis Coomer; his siblings, Wilma Pennington and Wallace Walters (Butch); his mother-in-law Laura Bishop; and his brother-in-law John Coffey.
