He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Boone and Ernestine Boone; his son Patrick Griffin (Ellen); and his siblings, Joann and Robert Boone.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Boone; his children, Beth Boone Burton, Tommy Boone, Carla Nicely, Debbie Roberts, Brenda Stamper, Izzy Boone (Danielle), Rick Griffin (Stephanie) and Tina-Maddox Wilson; his grandchildren, Shirley Pitt, Electra Boone, Isaiah Boone, Paula Griffin, David Griffin, Jamie Griffin, Ricky Griffin and Felicia Fuson; his great grandchild Keltie Pitt; his siblings-in-law, Robert Colwell and Donna Krause (Robert); and his cousins, Beverly Baker and Frankie Ballard (Connie).
