He was predeceased by: his parents, James McDowell and Wanda Pauline McDowell (Wolfe); and his sisters, Bonnie Thompson and Judy McDowell. He is survived by: his wife Linda S. McDowell (Lay); his sons, Josh McDowell (Tori) and Jonathan McDowell; and his grandchildren, Taylor McDowell, Taryn McDowell and Josh McDowell, Jr.. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other family & friends.
