He was predeceased by: his parents, Tip Hurley and Gladys Hurley (Sparks); and his siblings, Alice A. Reffitt, Joyce Faye Hurley and Paul Eugene Hurley.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Hurley; his nephews, Willis Lee and Jason Hurley; his niece Rebecca Lynn Wyatt; and his brothers, Walter K. Hurley and Larry Wayne Hurley.
