He was predeceased by: his parents, Wendell Hammond and Maude Hammond (Stacy); his wife Jean LaFrance Hammond; his siblings, Norma Jean Hammond and Tom Hammond; his daughter Lori J. Hammond; and his siblings-in-law, Sidney Schiff and Joy Hammond.

He is survived by: his siblings, Treva Schiff, Wendell Hammond, Jack Hammond (Mitzi) and Larry Hammond (Cam); and his children, Jeff Hammond (Cindy) and Terri Hammond. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
