He was predeceased by: his parents, John L. Bruggeman and Modesta Bruggeman; and his daughter Rosemary Davis. He is survived by: his wife LaRene Bruggeman (Renie); and his children, David Bruggeman (Ginger), Beverly Stoehr (Steve), Joe Bruggeman (Tonya), John Bruggeman (Lisa), Jim Bruggeman (Merri), Kim Kennedy (Mike) and Jamie Howerton (Dean). He is also survived by 28 Grandchildren; 26 Great-Grandchildren and 8 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
