He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Larson and Marjorie Larson (Wise); his grandchildren, Louie and Baby Jewell; and his sister Carolyn Barnette.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Larson; his children, Monica McQuinn, Dane Larson, Jenny Melton, Geri Campbell (Rob), Dave McCain (Carren) and Amy Adams (Scott); his grandchildren, Austin, Owen, Courtney, Isabelle, Alyssa, Brooke, Madison, Tyler, Ethan and Elanor; his great grandchildren, Rosie and Gracie; his sister Sharon Richardson; and his sibling's children, Robin York, Kyle Adams and Mike Richardson.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Heart Foundation, 5211 Madison Rd. Cincinnati, OH 45227 in memory of Melvin.

“I am sorry to hear about the passing of Melvin. We were friends and hot rodders , I sold him several cars. We were friends that grew apart? I am looking for my old racing pictures that I gave him. 66 350 GT mustang. They mean a lot to me. Melvin was always opportunistic and hard working. Please contact me if you still have them.
