He was predeceased by: his mother Lydia Salyer Sr. (Risner); his wife Polly Salyer; his father Milton Salyer Sr.; his siblings, Wayne, Ben, Walt, James, Della, Mandy, Beatrice and Madeline; and his daughter-in-law Nancy Salyer.
He is survived by: his children, Darrell "Ed" Salyer (Lisa), Bob Salyer, David Salyer (Angela) and Linda Sabo; his grandchildren, Colin Salyer, Hannah Cassidy, Ben Salyer (Kim), Randall Salyer, Nikki May, Mandy Minge (Andy) and Matt Sabo; his great grandchildren, Isabella, Isaiah Salyer, Austin, Haylee and Ava Minge; his sister Ruby Wells; and his sister-in-law Ducey Jones. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
