He was predeceased by: his parents, George Jackson (Mary) and Mildred Evans (Harbin); his nieces, Dawanna Lynn York and Breanne Marie Jackson; and his brother-in-law Burton Sturgill.

He is survived by: his daughter Dalanie Young (Joseph Adkins); his grandchildren, Beckham Young and Olivia Adkins; his siblings, Mike Jackson (Sheri), Donna Jo Stidham (Charles), Jim Jackson (Melody), Julie Sturgill and Tammy Winkler; and his stepsiblings, Carolyn Dennin (Darcy), Peggy Bellamy and Harold Birch. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home to help the family with funeral expenses.
