He is survived by: his son Robert Richard Hayes Jr.; his stepson Terry Allen; his grandchildren, Aaron Hayes and McKenzie Hayes; his caregiver McKenzie Hayes; and his great grandchildren, Alexis Hayes, Loralie Venters, Edward Hayes and Elijah Stolz. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
