He is survived by: his wife Yulan Jia; his children, Yu Mukherjee, Yanxie Xie (Lingguo Meng) and Wei Xie (Wentao Yu); and his grandchildren, Anondo Mukherjee, Alok Mukherjee (Atzin), Dekang Meng, Becky Yu, Ryan Yu and Rongquan.
