She was predeceased by: her parents, James Ellis and Myrtle Ellis (Alsip); and her siblings, Ronald Ellis, James Ellis, Warren Ellis, Mary Mantz and Anna Thomas.

She is survived by: her husband John Griffith; her children, James Griffith (Samantha), Brenda Miller (David Lehman) and Lisa Griffith; her grandchildren, Michael Miller (Emily), Rachael Middleton, Chelsea Griffith (Nick), Brittany Griffith and Jared Miller; and her siblings, Wayne Ellis (Monica), Martha Exline and Barbara Schaffer. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
