It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley M. Curtis of Middletown, Ohio, born in Clay City, Kentucky, who passed away on September 12, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Garnett Hollon Faulkner and James B. Faulkner; her stepmother Mozelle Faulkner; her former husband Herlon Clay Curtis; her husband Charles Gillespie; and her siblings, Lucille, Dora, Joann, Taylor and Roy.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sheila A. Banks (Randy) and Sherlene R. Kitchen (Elmer); her grandchildren, Kristian A. Barrett, Ricky D. Kemp and Eric B. Kemp (Shelby Mowen); her great grandchildren, Carson, Keagan, Cole and Rylan; and her siblings, Mary Drake, Jackie Faulkner (Joan), Junior Faulkner (Geraldine), David Faulkner (Phyllis), Daniel Faulkner (Donna) and Steve Faulkner. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
