It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Thomas Wortley in Middletown, Ohio, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 8, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Foster Wortley and Ruth Wortley; his sister Betsy; and his former wife Mary Hallowell. He is survived by: his wife Mary Deas; his stepchildren, Teddy (Robin), Boykin and Deasy (Jay); his stepgrandchildren, Jackson, Camden, Court, Caroline, Charlotte and Alexander; and his nieces, Libby, Sarah and Carolyn. He is also survived by his family, friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Episcopal Church (2709 McGee Ave, Middletown, OH 45044).
He was past president of the Middletown Community Foundation and served on the vestry of The Church of the Ascension, and also on the Middletown Airport Commission.
