He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Sr. Maines and Lida Maines (Martin); his wife Barbara Fay Maines (Nickel); his son Daniel Leo Maines; and his siblings, Bill, Ronnie, Tom, Mabel, Margaret, Ruth and Shirley.
He is survived by: his children, Virgil Maines III (Marilyn), Michael Maines, Steven Maines (Jennifer), Tracy Long (Loren) and Kristi Simone (Bryan); his grandchildren, Zach, Megan, Griffith, Graham, Christopher, Chase, Chandler, Josh, Kyle, Mia, Maggie, Ian, Luke, Matt, Alex and William; and his siblings, Jerry, Rick, David, Mary, Patty, Gloria and Rachel. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family & friends.
