He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman Humphrey and Helen Rosalie Smith (Mattingly); his wife Kym Strager Smith; and his niece Helen Rosalie-Faye Curry. He is survived by: his daughter Sommar Ann Drake; his sister Rosalie H. Potter of Davidsonville, MD; his nephew James S. Potter of Davidsonville, MD; and his grandchildren, Kayla Marie Drake and Matthew Hunter Drake.
