Gehrs and Gertrude Gehrs (Meyer); his wife Virginia Gehrs; his siblings, Robert Gehrs (late Helen), James Gehrs (late Mary Ann), Rose Mary Pelot (late Harry), Norma L Warren (late Leo) and Betty F Edinger (late August); his nephew Robert "Bobby"; and his sisters, Joan Bins (late William) and Jacqueline Williams (late John).

He is survived by: his children, Penny Nerderman and Gregory Gehrs (Diana) of Middletown; and his grandchildren, Joshua Gehrs, Jordan Merland (Jeffrey), Ethan and Megan Nerderman. He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
