She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Russell and Ada Florence King; and her siblings, Wilma Carpenter, Deanna Baker, Glenna McGee and Lannie King.
She is survived by: her husband Michael Shawn Malone; her sons, Shawn King and Eric Malone; her grandchildren, Riley King, Aiden King and Jacob Petersman; and her sister Frankie Lawson. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and many dear friends.
