He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Vicky Akers; his child Shianne Akers; his parents, Rev. Walter Emmerson Akers and Rev. Caryl Jean Akers; and his siblings, Randall Vonley Gulley (Sue), Penny Downs, Walter Destry Akers and Gay West (Doug). He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and many dear friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home (1668 State Rte 28, Goshen, OH 45122). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the Graceland Memorial Gardens (5989 Deerfield Rd, Milford, OH 45150).
