He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Jean Schleyer; his parents, Charlie Schleyer and Wilmette Schleyer; and his sisters, Joann Brunnell (Bob) and Catherine Holland.

He is survived by: his children, Ronnie Schleyer (Mellason Yeary) and Rebecca Earls; his grandchild Ryan Herrington; his great grandchildren, Emma, Eli and Daisy Herrington; and his brother-in-law Ronnie Holland. He is also survived by his nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
