He is survived by: his sisters, Donna Getzendanner (John) of Lawrenceburg, Denise Daggett (John) of Milford and Darlene McEwan (Tim) of Batavia; his nieces and nephews, John Scott Getzendanner (Amanda), Jennifer Getzendanner, Taylor Wendel (Aaron), Jake Daggett, Daniel McEwan and Nicholas McEwan; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Russell, Austin, Kaylynn, Ivy, Kyle and Rose. He is also survived by other relatives and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials and donations to The Christopher and Dana Reeves Foundation, the Cure Alzheimer's Fund, or the International Association of Hidradenitis Suppurativa Network in Doug's name have been suggested.
