He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Rhonda Dalton Strathmann; his daughter Misty Goetz (Jeff); his grandchildren, Faith Gingrich-Goetz, Kylie Goetz and Camden Goetz; his parents, Lowell Strathmann and Carol Strathmann (Earl Cox); his siblings, Laurie Stephenson (Craig), Amy Krantz (Mark), Adam Strathmann (Emma Pennington) and Ellen Hamm; his stepbrother Greg Cox (Brooke); his nieces and nephews, Zach Stephenson (Carly), Samantha Stephenson, Austin Krantz, Ashley Krantz, Andrew Hamm, Tricia Mitzel (Adam), Kyle Cox and Abbie Cox; and his brother-in-law Rick Hamm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
