He was predeceased by: his son Joe "Andy" Lieber; and his parents, Joseph and Edna. He is survived by: his wife Pat (Huhn); his daughters, Teri Lieber and Kathy Lansberry (Lieber); his children-in-law, Ruth (Dries) and Tim Lansberry; his son Dan Olcott; his grandchildren, Matt, Hope Lieber, Madeleine Roberts (Lansberry), Ben Olcott and Emily Graumlich; his great grandchild Genevive Roberts; and his sister Joan.
