She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Dykes and Ada Dykes; and her siblings, J. L. Dykes, Violet June, Ruby Jewel and Pastor Jackie Dykes.

She is survived by: her spouse Denton Hargis; her children, Jae Lynne Dykes (Bill) of Portland and Kim Neal (Ralph) of West Chester; her grandson Dean Neal of West Chester; and her siblings, Eva Dean Phelps, Gloria Speaks, Doris Snell, Jeanie Hughes, Charles Dykes and David Dykes. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Marilyn (Dykes) Hargis of Milford, Ohio, passed from this world into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 28, 2021, after a twelve year battle with vascular dementia and Alzheimer's.
